THE TRIDENT GAMES is a club event organised for swimmers in our Gold Squad and above, where the focus is on team involvement. This event is a great opportunity to race, get to know other swimmers in the club, whilst contributing towards the coveted end of season Trident Cup trophy. Swimmers are split into three teams and compete for team points & Krispy Creme Doughnuts, swimmer will remain in the same team for the duration of their time at Aquazone. (Even if they leave and come back they will be listed under the same team). There are only 3 “gala’s” throughout the year, race events are kept secret until race night – and all swimmers participate in all the events for that given evening.

On gala night, points are scored from 120 to 1 point so every swimmer contributes to the score count. Our younger Gold Squad swimmers have the opportunity to score bonus points on the night for their teams if they reach a particular time standard.

Honours Times +20 bonus points
Gold Times +15 bonus points
Silver Times +10 bonus points
Bronze Times + 5 bonus points

EXTRA POINTS

Additional points can be earned by swimmers offering assistance to help at other events (such as our junior gala’s) and/or acts/gestures that highlight club spirit.
