Fast Friday is a fun mini-club gala organised for our younger swimmers to learn and practice racing skills in a friendly, non-pressurised environment. This event takes place once every school term. In the weeks leading up to each Fast Friday, swimmers will be offered additional clinic sessions as a bonus to reiterate skills learnt in lessons and provide an extra opportunity to prepare their race skills for the gala.
Swimmers in the following groups are eligible to participate in Fast Friday events:
- Stroke Correction
- Mini Squad
- Bronze Squad
- Silver Squad
At Fast Friday, swimmers will have the opportunity to achieve ribbons and/or badges for specific events. Please see below the time standards for each ribbon and honours badges. Kindly note that children in the younger groups will not be permitted to swim in certain events as we don’t want ribbons achieved with compromised strokes.
